If you are going to Aldama on a short-term missions trip you are in for a great time. WOTC desires each person to experience the presence of God during their missions trip and to know the joy that comes from serving Him. We also desire that each group learns to work in unity and grow together within the family of God. We hope you catch the passion we have for winning the lost while working with the poor.

Before you arrive we will be in contact with the group leader to work on the details of your trip. Each days activities will be tailored to the goals of each group. There will be a lot of choices to fill your day and if you stay long enough you can see and do more than you can imagine.

You will find we begin the each day giving you time to have a personal time with the Lord and then you are going to love the morning devotions we have for you.

This year we have experienced an openness in the public school systems and communities. In Mexico as it is in the United States, church and religion are separate by law. We have been blessed to be able to invite large numbers of students, teachers, and parents to a nearby park or other public place and there present the gospel of Jesus Christ to them. We give each the opportunity to receive the Lord as their Savior, then we bless them with gift bags. The gift bags generally contains items such as candy, ink pens, gospel literature, clothing, toothpaste or shampoo, or other personal items. The people really enjoy receiving the gifts. And we love giving them.

Another great way to share the message of Christ is through drama's and skits. So if your group would take the time before coming on your missions trip to learn some skits and drama's we have some neat places in mind for you to share Christ through drama's and skits. In most Mexican towns you will find a town square and this is the local meeting place for kids, teenagers and families. It makes the perfect stage for skits and drama's.

Hopefully you will have some individuals within the group who like to do construction type work. If that is the case never fear Aldama always is in need of people with your gift and talents. There is also the ongoing need to build churches. There are many congregations that have been meeting under a tree or some where that is temporary. Many of these congregations have been praying for years asking the Lord to provide them with a church building. So if you are interested in being an extra special blessing and doing something that will last for many years in the future you might just consider taking on the project of building a church.

 If you like to kick back Aldama is the place for you. In the early morning you can hear the rooster's crowing in every direction and don't miss hearing the braying of the donkey's that live in the area. Hopefully you won't miss the flock of wild parrots that fly in and out of the area. If shopping is your thing we try to take time when returning to Harlingen to shop at Progresso giving you time to buy souvenirs and gifts for those back home. It is a great place to spend time and your money.

A short-term missions trip to Aldama is a trip that will change your life. It is a time you will make memories that will stay with you the rest of your life. It is a place and time you will remember where your relationship with the Lord grew and you will leave knowing He loves you and He will use you every time you give Him the opportunity.

Aldama is a special place an oasis in the middle of a desert located in an area where the Lord desires for the people to come to know Him and grow in Him. We are praying you will come and work with us in the harvest fields that are ripe for harvest.
