Have you ever sat around thinking
you need to experience something “more” in your life? Have you
ever dreamed of taking a vacation during the height of winter to a
warmer climate? Have you ever sat in church and listened to
the stories of others who have gone on great mission trips and thought
that you could never do what they are doing…….well, maybe it is time for
an exciting change in your life!
Can you swing a hammer, wield a paintbrush, or eye a level? Are
you skilled in the areas of medicine, dental, or optical? Can you
preach, share your testimony, or pray for one in need? If you
answered yes to any of these questions, we pray that you will join us
January 13th - 19th, 2010 for “Med-Fest & More”. We will be
heading down to Aldama, Mexico on Thursday, January 14th to begin
ministering to the people in the Aldama area. Our ministry will be
two fold: we will minister through free medical assistance and we will
minister through sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ on the 15th,
16th, and 17th. On the morning of Monday, January 18th, we will
pack up the vans and head back to Harlingen, TX. This is what
makes up the “Med-Fest” part of this event and explains why we are
praying for medical personnel and evangelists to join us.
So, why are we praying for construction workers? Well, we actually
have some physical labor we need done on the Aldama camp in preparation
for the Mexico Pastor’s Conference which will take place in April 2010.
There are a few buildings that will need to be constructed in order to
facilitate the 2,000 Mexican pastors and leaders we are expecting to
attend the conference. We need your help with these projects.
Wait, there’s still more! Does a horse race sound exciting to you?
Do you like the taste of barbacoa, a Mexican style beef barbeque?
Would you like to give prizes to the Mexican children who come to play
the carnival games while their mother or father receives medical
attention? All of this is available to you at “Med-Fest & More”!
For the cost of $425.00 per person we will provide you with
transportation from Harlingen, 3 meals a day, and dormitory housing.
Bring your bible, sleeping bag, pillow, and your passport. It will be a fun time and we hope you
won’t miss out!
